Bill Hoadley

Founder and Vice President

We founded H&Y Construction, Inc in my hometown of Monroe, CT in 1987. '87 was a trying year, we experienced a major housing crash which we overcame by self performing small projects for a few years. The 90s allowed us to bring on employees and work on some midsized residential additions and renovations. We also grew into a general construction company doing more management and less self performing of the work. Supervision and project management became our expertise and remains our strength today.

Jim Luzietti

Senior Project Manager

Jim has been a loyal, rock solid member of the H&Y family for 35 years. He started, after earning a degree from Central Connecticut State University in Business Administration, swinging a hammer and learning the business from the ground up. Jim is currently a top project manager at H&Y with many great projects to his credit.

Scott Mancini

Senior Project Manager

Scott has been with H&Y for more than 25 years. He has unparalleled intuitive construction knowledge. A problem anticipator and solver, he can masterfully take a project from inception to finish, forming lifelong relationships with our clients. His expertise is valued and used by his coworkers, sub-contractors, and architects.

Dave Fusaro

Senior Project Manager

Dave has a 25 plus year tenure at H&Y and has eagerly and professionally worked his way into a senior project manager position. He is the youngest brother of the H&Y management family and adds a more current philosophy to the company. While we rarely listen to him, he is extremely likeable and is great at his job. More than one of his clients has suffered from contractor seperation anxiety at project completion.

Simon Preston

Chief Estimator

Simon is closing in on 10 years of service at H&Y as chief estimator. His ability to organize and create relationships with subcontractors allows him to produce responsible and qualified estimates. Simon has been a great addition to the H&Y family.

Our History

The early years of the company were spent building relationships, establishing accounts, and wearing a tool belt, working in the field. Bill spent long days and late nights earning a degree in Construction Management from NYU, in addition to his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

1987 was not the year to open a construction business. The economy, and especially the construction and real estate markets, were hit hard. General Contractors were going out of business, but progress at H&Y was slow and steady. Projects increased in size and number. Employees were hired, and significant advances in our abilities allowed us to take on bigger and better projects. We secured bonding, established good credit, and fine-tuned our systems.

Next Generation

Billy and Jake are two of Bill and Lisa's six children. Billy and Jake have site-supervised and project-managed multiple successful projects. They have now taken over the roles of CFO (Billy) and COO (Jake). Billy and Jake are looking forward to more of their siblings joining to help build the second generation of H&Y Construction.
